My name is M. Serhat Sezgin, I’m
29 years old. I was born in Isparta, a city in the South of Turkey, where I
have gone to all level of schools. I have graduated from Isparta University
Faculty of Arts from the Department of Stage Art and Stage Design in 2007.
After I have graduated from
university I have immediately completed my military service and afterwards in
2009 I started with my M.A. again at the department of Stage Art and Stage
Design. I am now writing my M.A. thesis. I have been offered a position at the
university which shall start after I finish my M.A. Also I m voluntary now in
Slovakia.
Being my whole life in the south
of Turkey and having a great supporting family enabled me to get as much as
education in quite different areas. In Isparta there is a famous skiing centre
called Davraz, where I learned skiing and got a member of the University skiing
team. Antalya, just two hours away from Isparta, made me a member of the
universities diving team.
During my university education I
made my practical stage training at the State Theatre of Ankara, where I was an
assistant during the stage design for Moliere’s “The Miser”.
Trying to be a part of the rapid
changing, fast world I worked on part-time basis as a journalist for a local
newspaper in Isparta called “Gülses”, I constantly try to keep up with
technologic developments and went to courses for using Corel, Adobe Photoshop,
3d Max, etc.
